The 6th Morpeth Riverside Walking Festival starts on Monday 21st September and runs until the following Sunday. For further details please go to http://www.gmdt.net/index2.php?id=84 or call (01670)503866

PS. First I knew about this one was whilst driving through Morpeth town centre today( Manchester St traffic lights); a banner on the front of a building advertising the festival. Think this was the address given on the banner, couldn`t read it all - no time!

Still time to book a walk though! could walk to Mitford - climb up to the castle - or maybe a walk to Newminster - to the abbey ruins - see where Meg o` Meldon hid all her gold. I digress.
