Thanks for the link Stuart.
My days of high level hiking are more or less over however there is nothing better than reading other peoples accounts especially if there are a few photos thrown in,
Brings back happy memories.
Who knows someone might do a low level trip report with photos what might even tempt me to cross over the boarder.
I took a couple of weeks off work earlier this year and went up to Skye I found that this site is very good , well worth a look.

(not sure if the link works just copy and paste)

Hi Mick,

I joined both sites, the walkhighland site about a month ago, and scottishhills just recently; primary, so`s I could link to this site in each of my postings - bit of free publicity; doesn`t seem to have done much good though! The two sites are quite like each other in format, easy to forget which site you`re on. Some excellent trip reports on both, and lot`s of information, photo`s etc - some great photos, has to be said - `hill porn` the expression used by one poster!

This site is due for an upgrade - it`s in the pipline - out of my hand at the mo` waiting for the nod from a certain party! Wink May not be quite as posh as the two mentioned, but it will be a much improved website. No adverts either: some may say that`s a good thing - other`s will disagree!

I very nearly took myself off to the Trossachs earlier this year but was advised against it on walkhighlands as not being the best place to go to in the summer months - June - August - if I was wanting somewhere quiet and peaceful - due to it`s close proximinty to Edinburgh - school holidays an` all that!

Said, that, though I am off to the Lake District in the morning (Mon) for four days - back Friday! Not too busy this time of year - looking forward to it! Smile

Probablly be a few spam registrations when I get back; they can`t post anything, so that`s allright! be nice to see some bona-fide, genuine, registrations too!

Got to go! got some packing to do!

PS. Need a new mouse, cursor isn`t working properly, taken ages to type this out.
